About Chris Steger

Chris Steger was born on December 26, 2003 in Schwarzach and lives in St. Martin am Tennengebirge. He started playing the guitar at the age of eight. Chris has also participated in several competitions such as "The Voice Kids", "Kiddy Contest" and "Falco goes School", winning the last two. In 2020 Global Rockstar signed him and Chris started writing songs together with Christof Straub.

His debut single "Zefix" instantly reached millions of streams on Spotify. No. 1 in iTunes & radio charts, weeks of placement in the Spotify editorial playlist "Viral 50 Austria", as well as over 5 million views on YouTube make him the Austropop discovery of 2020! On September 9, 2021 Chris became the youngest winner of the Amadeus Award in the category "Song of the year" with Zefix, for which he was nominated by Ö3! His first album "Zefix" was released on October 22, 2021 and he was so successful with Zefix that he was rewarded with gold and platinum.

Since the end of 2022, Chris is under contract with Universal Music Austria and together with his new team of the "Universal Music" family he wants to inspire the audience in the whole German-speaking area with his music, which combines contemporary pop with the traditional language of Austria.
